She is the direct main focus of the game's events, but her importance to the overarching narrative is more from her actions' effect on the world and characters from within her team. Lora is also similar to the ironically named Jyn Erso as The Hero and the female POV character within her team, being Doomed by Canon and with a good amount of focus on her romantic relationship within her team. But most importantly, she is a deuteragonist whose story mostly revolves around Jin and her death drives Jin to take revenge on the world around him, much like what Fiora's death does to Shulk. She has a similar close-range fighting style, particularly considering when Fiora uses hunting knives as a Homs, and her Arts share some similarities with Fiora's in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 itself, being a mix of DPS and healing. She's a bit of a gadfly, but is also The Heart of the team and the voice of reason.

#How to get core crystals xenoblade driver#
A spirited young (though older than she looks) person, who grew strong from a parent-less upbringing, and became a Driver through accidentally getting her hands on a legendary Blade that wasn't intended for her. Amusingly, while the base game liked to compare Rex to Addam, Lora may be even more like him than Addam is.Doomed by Canon: The main game revealed how her death changed Jin forever long before Rex and his friends get involved.Deuteragonist: Much like Cross in Xenoblade Chronicles X, she is the game's Decoy Protagonist, and gets a lot of focus and development in her own right but most of her role is to contribute to Jin's story and Character Development and to invent the combat system used in the main game.Decoy Protagonist: Despite being the closest thing to a POV character for most of the game, it's Jin who turns out to be the true protagonist of the story, and ultimately it's Mythra who gets the most character development and plot focus, what with her being the Aegis itself and the only one who can truly take on Malos.Cry into Chest: She does this with Jin after finding out what happened at Torigoth.Character Shilling: Downplayed, but even if you've spent most of the game playing as another character or team, Lora will end up getting most of the credit from NPC's on sidequests despite not being shown to do much more than the others.Cast from Hit Points: Her Talent Art, Swallow's Flight, allows her to fully refresh her Arts' Cooldowns at the cost of half of her Hit Points.Though she also states she is doing it to put Gort out of his misery. Beware the Nice Ones: Though she lets Gort go the first time out of respect for her mother, she doesn't hesitate to later cut down a mutated Gort when he threatens her and insults her mother.Bare-Fisted Monk: Downplayed - she carries a whip and her Driver Art, Spinning Wheel has her use it, but all her auto attacks are punches and kicks, all her Driver Arts end with a punch or kick, and in the trailer, she takes on Malos with nothing but her martial arts and even staggers him while he's armed with his Monado. She starts the game searching for her estranged mother. One part of the DLC's main-character duo, she has been on the run ever since she was ten years old and accidentally awakened Jin. Voiced by: Saori Hayami (Japanese), Anna Koval (English)
